[TYPO3-mvc] Strange warning "You should never see it"

rather strange, just yesterday I used extbase_kickstarter (git version) 
to create a simple test extension and it worked like a charm.

did you set the starting point in your plugin?
does the blog example work in your Installation?

I used TYPO3 4.4.6...
