[TYPO3-mvc] FLUID: if condition with string

i know that a

<f:if condition="{detail} == 'mystring'">

didn't work, because of parsing problems...
but is it gonna work in the future?

(i am passing a subsection selector with a get param, and i need to check  
its value within fluid..
now i solved passing integers (detail = 1, 2,3,4... but it's gonna get a  
mess (also to configure realurl later !)

what do you think?
