[TYPO3-mvc] FYI: Bastian Waidelich is the new project leader of Extbase

Hi.

Last week, Extbase 1.3 was released along with the exciting TYPO3 4.5 LTS version. Many helping hands fixed bugs, implemented new features, and tested patches over the last months. And I am really happy to see the idea behind Extbase come true. Namely, to engage the community in the new way of coding FLOW3 has introduced (kudos to the FLOW3 team!). This will make the step into TYPO3 v5 smoother.

After 2 years of hard work on Extbase (along with many others), my focus shifted now a bit towards the integration of Semantic Web technologies in TYPO3. Moreover, my role as a father has grown after our move to the United States. To ensure the continuous improvement of Extbase I'd like to hand over my role as a project leader of Extbase to Bastian Waidelich. Bastian has a deep insight into all aspects of Extbase and is involved in both, the v4 and v5 world: a perfect match! He has agreed to take over this role. I will still be part of the Extbase project as a member.
