In a sense yes, but then I would have to do everything in PHP, which 
would be a hassle IMO. On top of the "manual" way described by Franz I 
could also probably have created my own view helper or such things. It 
still requires some development, but at least it's very targeted.

Regarding examples, it is true that the documentation is still 
insufficient, but this mailing list is a great help (whether by asking 
questions directly or by googling it).
