[TYPO3-mvc] Typo3 4.5 - will all pibase extensions stop working?

As I understand, 4.5 will be the first TYPO3 release to be released as 
LTS (long term support).  4.5 will be supported until 2014 
(http://typo3.org/teams/core/resources/maintenance-policy/).
