of course I'm going to build that stuff as abstract as possible so 
everyone is free to write own implementations of the profiler (like

that's a deception. ;-) while it looks nice on the outside it is really 
a mess on the inside. i would re-build that stuff completely and put it 
in an extbase extension with fluid templates ...
