[TYPO3-mvc] Using ajax in extbase

Hi all,

I would like to use ajax in my project to make the front page look to be 
user friendly. I have tried to do it by using mvc_extjs_samples 
extension, but I could not fix it out.

I have one dropdown which lists all the books, I would like to add the 
action onchange on this dropdown to find the person who has ordered the 
this book.

Could any one give some hints?
