[TYPO3-mvc] Typo3 4.5 - will all pibase extensions stop working?

Yes, no, they will not work anymore, you'll have to use FLOW3. This is 
why developers are encouraged to start using Extbase for their 
extension, to help them have a smooth move to FLOW3 afterwards.
