[TYPO3-shop] Empty basket problem - a serious and expanding problem

Hi list,

The "empty basket" is still a problem for me, fighting it for almost two
years now. Others have it too, like this unsolved thread.

Did anyone find a solution?

First it was in Chrome only, irregularly. Now it happens in newer FF too.

Versions of the problem, they all occur randomly it seems:

   - order into basket > go to basket > basket empty
   - order into basket > go to basket > basket okay > fill in user data >
   basket empty
   - order into basket > go to basket > basket okay > fill in user data >
   everything okay
   - everything goes well but the confirmation page does not appear (hard
   to replicate, but customers do report such a case; confirmation mails are
   sent)


Sometimes, clicking forth and back, filling and emptying, all the sudden
the basket remains filled.

Some observants think it's cache related. But no idea why.

No matter the versions. This case for me is 2.7 & 4.5.11, but in the thread
above it's even in 2.9.

Any solution? I tried many. Cookie settings in install tool, additional
extension from Franz, patches, etc. No result.
