[TYPO3-shop] Multilanguage site can't add to basket

Hi

I have the following problem:
The website I'm working on has two languages, the default is german and 
the second one is english.
I have products in two separate folders, because those are not the same 
for both languages.
Now the problem is that on the english site I can add to basket, but 
the basket remains empty.
If I switch to default language I can see those products inside the basket.

I've done alternative language records for both the product and product 
articles so I don't know what I'm missing.

I use product articles because each product has more prices depending 
on it's size.

Any help would be much appreciated as I spent more than a week 
debugging this already.
