Is there no working page in your setup? If not best would be to start 
with a TYPO3 tutorial. Maybe the quiclkstart tutorial 
(http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/tutorials/doc_tut_quickstart/current/).
To start with an extension as big and powerful as tt_products is not a 
good idea as you have to understand some workings of TPYO3 first.

Creating a shop with TYPO3 and tt_products starts with creating a TYPO3 
page first. Later on you will include content elements using the 
tt_products extension.
