[TYPO3-shop] How to add a product to the basket twice ?

Hi folks,

Anybody got an answer for this one ?

I need to beable to add the same product_uid to the basket twice or more 
times in different configurations but the main problem remains that the 
basket is indexed by "tt_product.uid"

I've been able to find reference to "basketExt" but will it be possible 
to get a hold on an array in a level above ?
