[TYPO3-shop] Functions to fetch price of variant?

I have seen there is a function in tt_products to get the correct price of a
products variant called "tt_products_fetchRow" with a corresponding
javascript function. In my tt_products version 2.5.5 I have some functions
but not that one? Is this function available somewhere? Or is there an other
option how I can achieve this? I am now trying the extension
nh_ttproductsdynupdate but still very little success...
