[TYPO3-shop] List different levels of categories

Hello Franz and all others, 
 
Perhaps this is asked before (but I cannot find is :-( 
We use categories in more levels, in tree like this
Brand1
    ProductGroup1
    ProductGroup2
Brand2
    ProductGroup2
 
Now we show this on page with two plugin (on different columns) 1 with
catlist and that shows top-level of Brands, what is OK 
On other place we use CATlist + List to show sublevel and list of products
in sublevel . 
Now there is the problem. We would like to have the second CATLIST show ONLY
the sublevel of the choosen Toplevel.
We use  mbi_categories for this. 
 
Is there a setting to have catlist allways show second level? and not all
list?
