The project already exists and was originally created by Robert Lemke, 
and I'm currently the maintainer. It is just a matter of integrating 
tx_paymentlib in any relevant extension.

Funding is no issue for me.

I think the advantages are obvious. Any extension (not just tt_products) 
who needs online payment, will just have to integrate tx_paymentlib and 
use one or some of the supported payment providers. tx_paymentlib is a 
sort of meta-api, if you like, for online payments.

This should hopefully eliminate that each extension implements their own 
payment methods for each payment provider.
