[TYPO3-shop] Shop internal Search function

Dear all,

the shop internal search function gives or shows no results on my server.
Other search possibilities such as "normal search" or "indexed search" 
only search in the page content and not in the products "list".

Does anyone have a suggestion how to activate the tt_products search 
function aside from generating a record with the product:search code?
