tt_products will not be abandoned, because a lot of online shops have
been built from it or from zk_products. There has been a plan that most
of them should move to the commerce extension. If someone wants to move
his shop from tt_products to commerce he will however have to invest a
lot of time and money.
tt_products is for the smaller shops and commerce for more advanced
ones, as the names of the extensions describe. tt_products can be
managed by beginners, commerce will be much more complicated.

The next steps are the translation of the manual into French and better
access to payment systems. I would like to use the Payment Code Library
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/search/paymentlib/
If you could incorporate your additions for payment systems into this
library then this would be a big help.

All shop systems could use a common extension 'Shop Library' with
classes and methods which are usable in all shop extensions.
