Did you solve the problem?
Same problem here. Up to version 2.3.3. the product lists are shown. 
Version 2.3.12 (the nearest I found) up to 2.4.5 does not show anything 
(always installed table and fh_library with the corresponding versions). 
Tested it in typo3 3.8.1 and 4.0.b2
