I am going to include this now into fh_library.

You have to install fh_library 0.0.8.
Set the hook in ext_localconf.php

if (!defined ('TT_PRODUCTS_EXTkey')) {
	define('TT_PRODUCTS_EXTkey','tt_products');
}
// Hooks for tt_products TCE
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['EXTCONF'][TT_PRODUCTS_EXTkey]['extendingTCA'][] =
$_EXTKEY;
