change the line to

$orderUid = $this->pibase->order->getBlankUid();		// Gets an order 
number, creates a new order if no order is associated with the current 
session

This would have the advantage that you could use your proprietary 
gateway scripts also with other TYPO3 extensions which support the 
Payment Library by Robert Lemke (PHP5 required).
