[Typo3-shop] getting a typo3 fatal error after attempt to upgrade to 2.2.12

Getting:
TYPO3 Fatal Error: Extension key "table" was NOT loaded! 
(t3lib_extMgm::extPath)

After I attempted an upgrade from 2.2.9 to 2.2.12
Now I can't get into the back end
