[Typo3-shop] How to debug tt_products?

Hi,

I am really having problems getting a simple shop to work. I am using 
unmodified template files. I have copied most of the TS configuration 
stuff from the manual into a template. But I can't seem to get the whole 
process to work.

Is there a way to turn on some debugging in 2.2.8 to help make sure my 
setup is correct, so that it goes to the correct page with the correct CODE?

Is there any documentation on the normal flow?  something like
clicking on "put in basket" takes you to PID="PIDbasket" and uses 
template "BASKET_TEMPLATE".
"Order / pay" takes you to PID="PID????" and uses template "????"
etc.???  I think this would really help me.

Any help or pointers would be GREATLY appreciated.
