[Typo3-shop] to ranz - general question on compatibility

reading the manual, the following is very interesting:

"pageAsCategory:
If you want to stay compatible in the future, you must set (or leave it 
blank) $TYPO3_CONF_VARS['EXTCONF']['tt_products']['pageAsCategory'] = 0
However this is not recommended for bigger shops and when you want to use 
the zk_products enhancements. So you should set this to 1, and then the 
pages will be used instead of categories giving you a lot of advantages."

does this mean that you introduced a featureset (the whole zk_products 
enhancements) without supporting it in future versions? otherwise your 
general advice would make abolutely no sense: "yes, zk_products has been 
merged but don't use its features to stay compatible with future versions!"
