Might be both a good and bad thing..:

1) Link directly to a subpage on the manufactor homepage -> seperate 
tables are less useable.

2) Link to "top level" page on the manufactor homepage -> seperate 
tables are more useable.

Currently the alternative products is shown in "single view mode", but 
I'm open to suggestions :)

As you might have noticed, I'm using flexform to store the language 
specific values. This gives the benefit of having less tables with only 
a small cost of extra code.

Values stored in non-flexform (stock, images, etc.) are not language 
specific.
