main features (we could have a look at os(xt)commerce featurelist:
multilanguage support
different prices based on usergroups
different prices/vat based on users country
some sort of hook concept for shopping cart manipulation (shipping 
costs, draufgabe+dreingabe (sorry i dont know this in english), ...)

some sort of integration possibility into the navigation
extened shop search, i think of defining product attributes which can be 
used for creating flexibel searches. (i have not really a concept in 
mind :-)
use documents (word, oow) as product data source (something in 
combination with roberts document suite)
interfaces for price comparing sites (kelkoo, geizhals)
interface for ebay
tracking interfaces (ups, dhl, ...)
