As I was starting to develop my own shop-exstension, I contacted Volker 
(Whom I guess is head dev-guy?) and suggested cooperate on designing the 
next generation of tt_shop/tt_products. But we didn't seem to get much 
further than that.

I've got some work finished already, but it'll have to be redesigned to 
suite a more general purpose.

If Volker is to busy and no one else is interested, I'll be willing to 
take over. In any case I'll be glad to put in some hours to speed up things.

I haven't seen any discussion about this. In my opinion it should be a 
rewrite.
