[TYPO3-ttnews] how to only show news with images?

So there's no way to specify that a tt_news plugin should only return
articles that contain images?  If you have any suggestions, it would be
greatly appreciated.

I get how to modify the tt_news templates to tailor the appearance, but that
doesn't allow me to restrict the content to only those articles that include
images.  Is there a way to do that with tt_news?
