[TYPO3-ttnews] additional displays in tx_news?

in the plugin-flexform I can find two fields which might realice the 
change of a layout:

on the tab 'settings' the field 'What to display'
on the tab 'template' the field 'Template Layout'

the first one is very close to the former tt_news-plugin-selection
while the second one seems appropiate.

I can't find how to enhance the option list of the first field
and nothing to put anything into the selection for the second field
