ext:news is 2.0.0 with git something about 14 days old and with cooluri 
but for the pagination no rules are set so the the url looks like this 
if the second page is called:

http://domain.com/news?tx_news_pi1%5B@widget_0%5D%5BcurrentPage%5D=2
