[TYPO3-ttnews] Show only non-archived News in Single View

Hi all,
if I display the Single view for a news, the prev/next links point to
old (archived) news, too. That's not what I want. I only want to browse
within non archived news. I've tried to set the property "show non
archived", but this is ignored, because in class.tx_ttnews.php (function
getPrevNextLinkMarkers) this setting is overwritten. What's the
intention behind this?
