[TYPO3-ttnews] LATEST: rules default vs. individual?

hi list

strange: if my default archive-date is less than an individual 
archive-date of a news, then the news is not shown in LATEST.

if - on the other side - the individual archive-date is less than the 
default archive-date, the news is shown in LATEST.

i think, this should not be the case. right?
individual archive-date should override default archive-date. right?

EXT tt_news: 3.0.2
TYPO3: 4.3.3
