[TYPO3-ttnews] Display latest news item in single

Hello!

Could please somebody help me with my problem?

Short version:
I would like to display the latest news item in single view when no item 
selected.

A little longer version:
I have a page with two tt_news plugins: LIST and SINGLE.
They are displayed side by side by tt_news template (using a table); 
LIST is on the left and SINGLE is on the right.
When somebody opens this page I want the latest news entry displayed in 
SINGLE and list of news in LIST.
List of news items is displayed correctly, but how on earth do I tell 
SINGLE to display the last item entered (newest)?

I have searched, but couldn't get an answer.

Oh, I use Typo 4.3 and tt_news 3.0.1
