[TYPO3-ttnews] Localization of categories in BE

dear forum members,
Last time I downloaded tt_news was at least 6 months ago.
could you tell me if current tt_news has the categories localized on the 
BE forms.
To be clear here is what I am asking.
When an editor goes to edit a tt_news record the Categories control 
renders the tree of categories. If the editor was had changed her 
language to a not-default one the categories would show up in the 
default language anyway.
Was this fixed? Does categories now show up localized?
