Hello Brian

Sorry I can't help you here. My programming skills are not good enough to do such a thing.
For my page I do not need the RTE, as the users fill in simple data (form). Bigger text 
paragraphs can be edited in the BE with the RTE (field: bodytext) before the article is released.
