Please replace line 421 in class.mbl_newsevent.php:

     $where .= " AND tt_news.tx_mblnewsevent_from >= " . time();

With

    $where .= " AND ((tt_news.tx_mblnewsevent_from >= " . time() . ") OR ( 
tt_news.tx_mblnewsevent_from <= " . time() . " AND 
tt_news.tx_mblnewsevent_to >= " . time() . "))";
