[TYPO3-ttnews] How to remove the date string from the relatednews(single view)

Just for the archives:
relatedNewsByCategory is rendered differently from "normal" related news :-(

There's a template ###TEMPLATE_CAT_RELATED### with a marker ###NEWS_TIME###
which has to be removed to disable date output.
