Please take a look at "Conditional ”more”-Link" in the manual of tt_news:

plugin.tt_news.displayList.subheader_stdWrap {
   append = TEXT
   append.data = register:newsMoreLink
   append.wrap = <span class=”myclass”>|</span>
   append.if.isTrue.field = bodytext
}
