[TYPO3-ttnews] Hide standard news if no translation available ?

Furthermore: is there a way to do it the other way ´round ?
To hide standard news and only show the translations.
Let´s say you have English as standard and Croatian as second language.
Now there are some things relevant in Croatian only and in English there
should be nothing.
Leaving fields empty in standard gives you the "more" link anyway and hiding
the standard news hides all the translations too.
Creating a news record in the desired language (Croatian) doesn´t help
anything at all, it´s not showing up, not even in list view.
Only disabling localization mode gets it back ono screen.
Possible at all ?
