[TYPO3-ttnews] stylig the title of a news article in single view

i am trying to style the title of a news article.

I can style it in the template by surrounding it with 
<h2>###NEWS_TITLE###</h2>

but when it renders it places a <font tag withi the <h2> tag and sizes 
it smaller...

that cont tag doesnt appear to be one of the 3 text stylings built into 
news... so my question is, where is that font tag and how can i strip it?
