[TYPO3-ttnews] hide doens't show for user acount

I've selected 'news: hide' for my user group: Allowed excludefields. However 
the hide checker doesn't show for my user account. Is this a bug?, or what 
do i have to do to enable this (cause on default my created news items are 
'hidden'). (BTW, how do I disable to, i just want all my created records to 
be visibla on creation.
