[TYPO3-ttnews] Auto-approve News by FEUSERs?

Typo 3.8 with the latest tt_news, mth_feedit, and news_feedit.

News entered by an fe-user is marked as "hidden", which means that an 
admin or be-user must "approve" these posts by un-hiding them.

I've been through all the docs, past newsgroup threads, and Object 
Browser but can't find anything which would affect this setting.

How can news by an fe-user not be hidden by default?
