[TYPO3-ttnews] Newslist Image questions

Hello,

is there a difference on image compression in the list view ?
I use a global jpeg compression 80% and have clear images without 
artefacts in regular Typo3 content. Also in the detail view of tt_news 
(300x200).But in the List view (150x100)the images are not ok.

Is it possible to crop a image for the list view to a fixed size ?
300w x 400h image to fixed 150w x 100h image ?

For the image conversion i use IM 5.x.
