[TYPO3-ttnews] pagebrowser on singleview

hi all

we are using the piBasePageBrowser with tt_news and use it to break 
single views into multiple pages. the thing is, as stated in bug 
#0001147, that it it nearly not possible to customize the output of the 
pagebrowser on the singleview.

is there any chance that this will get fixed soon? or is there a way to 
customize the output from the code? maybe someone has experience or any 
hints?
