[TYPO3-ttnews] Catmenu Question

I am experiencing some problems using the catmenu function in tt_news.

While I'm able to see the categories menu, when I click on a link I don't
get the filtered-out list of news (I just get a page reload).

I have tried this out both in tt_news 2.2.24 - typo3 3.8.1, and in typo3
4.0 rc2 - tt_news 2.2.40.

Is there any setting (like the archiveTypoLink used in AMENU), which I'm
not aware of? Anybody had similar problems?

Any help would be much appreciated.
