[TYPO3-templavoila] Sections and sliding/inheritance

Hello folks, 

I have a page template that has a section that puts a series of linked images into the footer. So far so good.

Now I want this section to slide down to child pages. For regular stuff like texts and images I know how to do this with the help of kb_tv_cont_slide. But in this case I have no idea where to even start as a section seems to lack the necessary TypoScript setup field.

Any ideas?
