[TYPO3-templavoila] Optional Link

Dear list,

how can i setup an optional link field in TV?

With the <checkbox> attribute setted in the XML and not clicked on in 
the BE, an empty link (<a href=""></a>)is still rendered in the frontend 
and i dont want due to validation issues an empty link here... How
can i avoid this rendering behaviour?
