[TYPO3-templavoila] FCE with links to news articles

Hello,

I want to be able to customise a  mapped area for content elements to show
either links to content items or news articles. I have it working in the
backend but i cant seem to  get it rendering in the front end... I can get
the whole record to come out but i only want links to these elements. Can
anyone show me some sample typoscript that could help?
