[TYPO3-templavoila] using FCE without knowing code

I was doing the templavoila tutorial and at the end it talked about 
'Working with Typoscript inside Data Structures'.

Does the editor have to know how to manipulate the data structures at 
the code level to add content?

When you use one of the FCE's you have to add code to make the image 
align to the right. I don't think this is possible for a regular user?

Is there a way to make using FCE's more user friendly?
