[TYPO3-templavoila] Is creating BE users different when using TV?

Hi

I have rescently begun using TV and its great, but now I have created a 
BE usergroup and a user, assigned a DB mount and all that, like I have 
done so many times.

But loging in with my user I cant se the page tree or filemounts for 
that matter, so my question is. Is creating BE users differnt with TV?
