[TYPO3-templavoila] FCE without TemplaVoila

Hi,

I have never used TemplaVoila before, and I'm pretty happy with working
with the TEMPLATE cObject (markers and subparts). I don't want to change
that.

But what looks interesting to me is the concept of FCE (flexible content
elements). So my question is: Can I use FCE's without having to
completely base my site on TemplaVoila? If this is possible: how?
